This Refund Policy applies to all users of the E-moto platform operated by Moto Tech (Pty) Ltd.
E-moto is a digital platform that connects users with service providers. Each service offered may include a base price and, in some cases, a non-refundable flat fee which represents the service initiation cost set by the service provider.
A user may request a refund if: • The requested service is not delivered within the agreed-upon or platform-specified time frame; or • The user is dissatisfied with the delivered service and submits a refund request within 7 calendar days of delivery. If no refund is requested within 7 days of service delivery, the service is deemed accepted and final, and no refund will be issued.
Some services listed on E-moto may include a flat fee set by the service provider. This flat fee: • Is considered a service initiation cost • Is non-refundable, even if a refund for the remainder of the service is granted • Is displayed to the user at the time of purchase • Includes Value-Added Tax (VAT), where applicable When a refund is issued, it excludes the flat fee and its corresponding VAT.
Refunds must be initiated via the E-moto platform. Users must select the order in question and submit a formal refund request with reason and any supporting details. The request will be reviewed by E-moto in collaboration with the service provider. If approved, the refundable portion of the payment will be returned to the user’s original payment method within 7 to 10 business days.
Service providers on E-moto can: • Set their own flat fees (non-refundable portion) • Respond to disputes initiated by users E-moto acts as a neutral intermediary but reserves the right to make final decisions regarding refunds to ensure fairness and platform integrity.
Users found to be abusing the refund process may face: • Account suspension or termination • Refusal of future refund requests
This policy is developed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa. If any provision in this policy conflicts with applicable consumer law, the law prevails.
